I grew up in Houston, Texas, before venturing to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment business. My mentor, Dr. James Hollis, inspired me to begin a career in mental health. My first job in the field was as a tech in a detox and residential facility. I continue to work with people in recovery and I am fluent in 12-Step work.
I obtained my MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2019.
I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, the fallout of trauma, relationship challenges, creativity frustration, and career roadblocks. Therapy can help identify negative patterns and beliefs. While we cannot outlive some of our problems, we can outgrow them.
My Approach
Analyzing problems is important -- so is highlighting people's strengths, wonderfulness, and wisdom.
I like to help people reflect on their strength, wonderfulness, and wisdom. Doing so can help people have a better relationship with themselves. With this foundation, I help people find their way out of the dark forest. Therapy, along with some coping skills, can help loosen the grip problems have in our lives.
